The Ireland Critical Skills Employment Permit is aimed at highly skilled non-EEA workers in occupations on Ireland’s Critical Skills Occupation List or earning over €64,000. It facilitates long-term residence and allows family reunification. After 21 months, holders may apply for Stamp 4 to live and work in Ireland without a permit.

The Ireland General Employment Permit allows non-EEA nationals to work in roles that are experiencing labour shortages in Ireland and are not listed as ineligible. It is suitable for a wide range of professions with a minimum salary requirement. After 57 months, permit holders may apply for Stamp 4 permission.
